Tasting Notes: Grotte Alte is the most ambitious of Occhipinti's wines. Named for the limestone ridges on which Vittoria stands, this blend is Frappato and Nero d’Avola, a summary of Sicily. This mediterranean wine preserves the taste of the sea and all the air of the Iblei Mountains. It is harmonious and dense and can be aged for many years.
