Tasting Notes: The Fattoria Le Pupille Morellino di Scansano is a bright ruby red in the glass. On the nose it shows marasca cherry, red berries, white flowers and red rose, alternating with hints of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate the wine is robust and refreshing, with smooth tannins and a long and flavorful finish.
Estate History: Fattoria Le Pupille is the work of Elisabetta Geppetti, also known as the Lady of Morellino and the Ambassador of Maremma. She was the first woman to be the president of a consortium in 1992, the year of foundation of the Morellino di Scansano Consortium.
