Tasting Notes: The Amorotti Trebbiano d'Abruzzo has the depth and textual elegance of high quality Trebbiano, showcasing the dedication and care that comes from their natural approach to making wine. Pear, ripe peach and mountain herbs all set in the frame of a mineral and regal-feeling texture, an incredible presence on the palate, and a mouth-watering finish.
Estate History: Winemaker Gaetano Carboni’s organic family farm is set against the backdrop of the Gran Sasso Mountains near the Adriatic. Neighbors with Trebbiano legends Valentini, who helped them to begin making their own wine, having previously sold their grapes. The estate is 50 hectares composed of mainly woodland and pastures where of those 50 hectares only 5 are dedicated to vines. Following the guidance of neighbor and historic wine-maker Francesco Valentini, Gaetano was able to begin planting in the early 2000s and converting the estate to follow all organic and natural practices. Geatano sold his grapes to outer sources for years until 2016 where he sold his first commercially produced wine Tebbiano d'Abruzzo. With only few years producing commercially the Amorotti winery is making waves, producing wines that goes against the conventional but also still giving its nod to the legends like Valentini and Emido Pepe.
