Tasting Notes: Cantina Maugeri’s Frontebosco comes from eastern facing slopes on Etna in Milo and carries the intense aromas and flavors from the single vineyard site. Deep and complex with intense aromas and flavors of anise, citrus, cedar and candied fruit.
Estate History: Positioned on the eastern slopes of Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano, Maugeri represents a viticultural endeavor undertaken by a local Etnean family who returned to their native region to revive winemaking. The property spans 7 hectares, enclosed by a continuous 2.8 km expanse of lava dry-stone walls, creating an amphitheater nestled in fertile volcanic soil that intimately embraces the Mediterranean landscape.
