Tasting Notes: The Palmento Costanzo Etna Rosso Mofete has a ruby red color of medium intensity. Spicy nose with hints of fresh wild herbs, rose and volcanic ash. On the palate, juicy, balanced and elegant, with a savory finish.
Estate History: Mimmo and Valeria Costanzo are among Etna's newest producers, focusing on small production of natural wines. Working out of a renovated 100 year old palmento, or "winery", Costanzo's 12 hectares are up to 800 meters in elevation in the Santo Spirito Cru. A winery that has only been producing since 2012, these are among the most intriguing and beautiful wines we have tasted on Etna.
