Tasting Notes: This wine stands out as quite unique: the 80-90-year-old Code di Volpe vines are mixed with Aglianico in the Taurasi vineyards. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed, crushed, and left on the skins for around 12 hours before being pressed in the same basket press used for the reds. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 2 ½ years on its fine lees in a stainless steel tank, then filtered and bottled. It boasts a striking pale yellow color with aromas of herbs, white peach, a hint of citrus, and wet stone. The palate is long, fresh, and slightly phenolic, making it delightful to drink upon release. However, its structure and intensity suggest it will also age beautifully.
