Tasting Notes: Fontanafredda Gavi has a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights. Its nose is intense and floral with notes of vanilla, lemon and apples. On the palate, full-bodied and dry with flavors of stone fruit and apple. A touch of pleasant acidity and a clean finish make this wine a perfect match for shellfish and chicken dishes.
Estate History: Among the splendid rolling hills of the Langhe, in the heart of Piedmont, stands the beautiful Fontanafredda estate, which once belonged to King Vittorio Emanuele II who n turn gave it to Rosa Vercellana, a commoner with whom he had fallen madly in love. An ancient love story, kept alive by the modern Fontanafredda team, with particular attention to that desire to renew and improve that which has always distinguished the company, now a point of reference in the Langa area.
