Estate History: Perched on the hills of the historic village of Monreale, between Palermo and Trapani, the ancient Baglio di Grisì overlooks the valley of Belice and Jato, territories known since ancient times for their mild climate and rich vegetation. The word Grisì comes from the greek word “Krysos” meaning “Gold”, which later became “Grysòs” (“Gold Land”) during the Byzantine period, where the word “Gold” refers precisely to the richness of the fertile and cultivated land, which has made these places full of charm and magic. The Baglio Grisì company, covers approximately 400 ha within the territory of Monreale. It is placed at an altitude of about 400 to 500 meters above sea level and boasts a rich production of grapes, coming both from autochthonous and allochthonous grapes, from which high-quality wines are produced.
