Tasting Notes: The Alessandro Viola Note di Bianco is from 100% Grillo grapes that are farmed organically. The grapes see a small maceration before aging in steel. Savory and elegant with earthy hints of thyme and pear.
Estate History: The Alessandro Viola winery is a small estate of 7 hectares planted along the western Sicilian coast near the town of Alcamo. Alessandro was introduced into the world of vine growing by his father who also farmed and bottled his own wine for home consumption. It was from this upbringing that Alessandro decided to pursue further education in the study of oenology. While learning the mechanics of wine production and Alessandro began to focus primarily on the science of vineyard care. After graduation Alessandro worked for other producers in the north parts of Sicily and of course on certain vineyards on Mt.Etna. From this gathered experience and through his own trial and errors Alessandro began producing his own wines using all natural and biodynamic practices.
