Tasting Notes: The Val delle Corti Chianti Classico offers bright and pure aromatics of wild red berries, crushed cherries, violets, and a hint of blood orange zest, emanating from the glass. On the palate, the wine is elegant, medium-bodied, and precise, delivering vibrant flavors of tart cranberries, sour cherries, and stony minerals. It possesses a crisp, fresh structure, firm tannins, and a long, energetic finish that showcases the typical lightness and lift of high-altitude Radda terroir.
Estate History: Val delle Corti is a small, family-run organic farm established in the 1970s by Giulio Gambelli's cousin, and now run by the dedicated fourth-generation owner Roberto Bianchi, located in the high-altitude zone of Radda in Chianti, Tuscany. The estate is committed to traditional winemaking methods, utilizing spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and extended aging in large, neutral Slavonian oak casks (botti). This philosophy, combined with organic farming practices and a deep respect for the land, aims to authentically express the unique freshness and mineral character of their specific vineyard sites.
