Tasting Notes: Teularju Ghirada Ocruarana Barbagia Rosso IGT comes from the Ghirada, or Cru, called Ocruarana. Cannonau (Grenache/Garnacha) is harvested in early October, before spontaneous fermentation and a 15-day maceration begins the wine's transformation. This wine has surprising acidity, with rich red cranberries, white pepper, and subtle floral notes.
Estate History: Teularju is a young family winery run by Franceso and Rosa, together with their children Giovanni (and his wife Elisabetta), Giuseppe and Vincenza. While the family has been making wine together for over twenty years, the company was only established in 2017 when a new vineyard was planted entirely of Cannonau (Grenache/Garnacha).
