Tasting Notes: The Sergio Drago Rosa is a natural rose made from Nero d'Avola. Bright with summer strawberries, mint, basil and a hint of clove, this round and delicious Rosato is a shop favorite.
Estate History: Situated in northwest Sicily between Marsala and Palermo, Alcamo boasts dry and rugged hills, making it an ideal region for cultivating the native Catarratto grape. Since acquiring his initial vineyards in 2017, winemaker Sergio Drago has skillfully balanced Catarratto's saline freshness with intricate textural layers. He now cultivates around 5 hectares, primarily on calcareous soil, where he not only grows Catarratto but also nurtures Nero d’Avola and Syrah. Despite maintaining a limited production, Sergio actively explores the area for additional sites suitable for Catarratto cultivation.
