Tasting Notes: The Roccafiore Montefalco Sagrantino comes from 20 year old vines planted in the white clay and limestone soils of Umbria. It spends 30 months in large oak barrels before another 6 months in bottle. The powerful tannic structure begins to mellow after 5 years and this powerful, dense, rich red wine is perfect with braised or grilled meats.
