Tasting Notes: The Benevelli Piero Barolo Ravera di Monforte shows cedar, tobacco, worn-in leather, herbs and smoke wrapped around a core of dark fruit.
Estate History: Considered one of Barolo's "young" generation, Massimo Benevelli carved our his spot among the Barolo giants. Having started training at age 14 in his father's winery, he learned early on to take great care in every stage from grape to bottle. The Piero Benevelli winery is managed with nature in mind, following organic principles, hand-harvesting, and letting spontaneous fermentation happen with indigenous yeasts.
