Tasting Notes: In contrast with some of the big, tannic Barolos from this area, "Le Coste di Monforte" Barolo DOCG exudes finesse and delicacy. With notes of black cherry, forest floor, and gentle rose, this wine is polished and ready to enjoy.
Estate History: Considered one of Barolo's "young" generation, Massimo Benevelli carved our his spot among the Barolo giants. Having started training at age 14 in his father's winery, he learned early on to take great care in every stage from grape to bottle. The Piero Benevelli winery is managed with nature in mind, following organic principles, hand-harvesting, and letting spontaneous fermentation happen with indigenous yeasts.
