Tasting Notes: A sparkling wine blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Quattrocento Extra Brut from Nicola Gatta is aged for 40 moons (just shy of 40 months) on the lees. With no sulfites, the wine is explosive on the palate with notes of brioche, white raspberry, and apple.

After growing up in a wine-producing family, he decided to pivot to creating wine with as little intervention as possible. He practices biodynamic farming and creates sparkling wine with spontaneous fermentation. The chalky soils lead to high-acid, mineral-driven wines that are well suited to Nicola's natural style of sparkling wine.
