Tasting Notes: Produced from a blend of Verduzzo Trevigiano, Chardonnay, Glera, and Verdicchio, this frizzante is layered with notes of golden apple, flint, and hints of cucumber. The finish is lively and quite mineral driven with a subtle stony feel.
Estate History: Massimo Coletti operates his winery in the terroirs between Colle Umberto and San Fior in Veneto. Coletti was steeped in winemaking traditions from an early age and pursued formal studies at the University of Udine, earning a degree in Viticulture and Oenology. In 2002, Coletti returned to Italy to establish his estate, Via Larghe, nestled in the scenic hills of Veneto. He is dedicated to producing natural wines, with a strong emphasis on quality and respect for both the terroir and nature. For years, he has refrained from using artificial fertilizers, and the harvest is carried out by hand.
The chalky soils of glacial origin and the vineyard's southern location impart excellent mineral tones and ripe fruit to his wines. His sparkling wines are crafted in the traditional prosecco method, with natural fermentation occurring in the bottle without disgorging or filtering. As a result, the wines retain a cloudy appearance and ferment at the bottom. Additionally, he does not add sulfites to his wines, making them truly natural wines.
