Tasting Notes: The Luigi Maffini Kratos Fiano has a deep straw yellow color. It is loaded with exotic fruit; such as kiwi; and honey on the nose. The palate is soft and balanced with a finish of fresh spring flowers and dried apricot.
Estate History: Luigi and Raffaella Maffini first bottled Kratos in 1996 using fruit from a small family vineyard planted in the 1970s. They gradually grew their estate to 15 hectares. The estate is in Cilento, a coastal area south of Naples protected by a national park designation and has been recognized as a World Heritage Site of UNESCO. Maffini’s wines are equally distinctive, crafted with an eye to terroir, minerality and elegance.
