Tasting Notes: The 2021 Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolo Tre Tine is a traditional blend from the Ravera, Le Coste, and Cannubi San Lorenzo crus, showing a classic Nebbiolo profile with exceptional finesse. It displays a lifted, zesty character with aromatic intensity, featuring notes of sweet red berries, raspberry, violet candy, and blood orange, framed by complex nuances of dried earth, licorice, and rose petal. On the palate, the wine is vibrant and tension-packed, with a core of energetic red fruit and a long, salty freshness balanced by filigreed, velvety tannins. Though approachable for its elegance, this is a long-haul Barolo with superb balance that will gain complexity for decades in the cellar.
Estate History: Beppe Rinaldi took over the estate in 1983 from his father Guiseppe and slowly became noticed as one of the great old-school 'Barolistas' of the Langhe. After his passing in 2018, his daughters Marta & Carlotta fully took over. Marta had been responsible for the winemaking since the 2010 vintage, and with this new era, an even higher level of quality has emerged, marking G. Rinaldi as an absolute pinnacle of winemaking in the Langhe.
