Estate History: Nestled in the heart of La Morra, Cristian Boffa is making waves in the world of Piedmontese winemaking. A true "garagiste" winemaker, Boffa began his journey in his family's garage in Santa Maria, crafting wines that beautifully express the elegance and character of the region.
Today, his vineyards span La Morra and Serralunga, with prized holdings in the esteemed Capalot cru. His portfolio is a testament to his passion and precision, featuring Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, and two distinct Barolo wines—one a blend from various La Morra sites and the other a single-vineyard expression from Capalot.
In the cellar, Boffa remains committed to tradition, fermenting his Barolo wines in stainless steel for 25 days before aging them in large Slavonian oak botti. This meticulous approach results in wines that are both elegant and approachable, showcasing classic aromas of red fruits, rose petals, and orange blossoms, with layered flavors of crushed strawberry, raspberry, spice, and subtle earthiness.
