Tasting Notes: The Castelfeder Pinot Nero Mont Mes is marked by notes of alpine herbs and cracked pepper and the wine is defined by its drinkability and balance. The notes of cherry and raspberry fruit are well balanced by the underlying spice and subtle tannins.
Estate History: The Castelfeder Winery was founded in 1969 by Alfons Giovanett, who had attended the renowned wine school in San Michele all’Adige. In 1989 the founder’s son, Günther Giovanett, took over the management of the winery and at the same time, relocated the operations to the small village of Kurtinig/Cortina in the very south of Alto Adige.
