Tasting Notes: The vineyards are located in Monforte, an area renowned for its natural biodiversity. Elena and Luca view Dolcetto as a vital introduction for young wine drinkers to the Langhe region. The grapes are vinified whole cluster and aged in stainless steel, resulting in a fragrant version of Dolcetto.
Estate History: Cascina Penna-Currado is the new personal project of the Penna-Currado Vietti family, led by Elena Penna, Luca Currado Vietti, and their children, Michele and Giulia. As custodians of a rich cultural and sentimental heritage in the Langhe, Luca and Elena spent over 35 years leading the renowned Vietti winery until they decided to start a new chapter in January 2023. Their new, smaller-scale, artisanal venture is a family effort, combining their wit, wisdom, and renewed ambition, deeply rooted in their extensive experience in the Langhe.
