Tasting Notes: The Burzi Barolo shows high-toned red fruit, menthol and dried herbs on the nose, with a bright acidity, well-placed tannins and an extended finish of roses and mint.
Estate History: Alberto Burzi comes from a family of winegrowers in La Morra that previously sold grapes and leased vineyards (most notably the old vines in Capalot leased to Roberto Voerzio). In 2012 Alberto, after graduating from the University of Turin with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology and spending time working at Cantina Communale in La Morra with Nicola of Trediberri, took back the vineyards. Along with his sister Caterina, having worked briefly at Oddero, they manage 7 hectares of vineyards producing about 25,000 bottles each year.
