Tasting Notes: The Buondonno Chianti Classico Riserva is the perfect cold-weather Chianti. Dark and spicy, with notes of black cherry, licorice, sandalwood and dried herbs on the nose. The palate is deep and lush, with a soft plush mouthfeel and a mellow acidity. 2015 was a hotter than normal vintage and this wine shows the intensity and power that can come from a warm year, without feeling flat or overly ripe. You can pop and pour this wine in a large Bordeaux stem and serve with rich pasta dishes or a Bistecca alla Fiorentina.
