EXPLORE NEBBIOLO

Image

Dating back to the 13th century and named for nebbia, Italian for "fog," this ancient and thin-skinned grape variety is right at home in the cooler climate (and yes, sometimes) of Piemonte and Lombardia. Harvested in late October and November, this grape is rather fussy to grow – it can struggle to reach full ripeness – but seasoned producers know exactly how to nurture the refined, elegant results out of their vines.
Sure, you probably know Barolo and Barbaresco – the two power players of northern Italian wines – but have you given everyday expressions of Nebbiolo a try? Our team of sommeliers has pulled together a collection of our favorites to give you a taste of Piemonte’s native grape at 10% off all month long. Appellations such as Alba and the Langhe produce stellar examples from younger vines, crafted to be enjoyed without a decade of aging in the bottle. We even snuck in a rose, a sparkling and a white wine option, all made from the mysterious red grape that captivates our attention.
