Tasting Notes: The Rossese di Dolceacqua Superiore Fulavin is a real charmer of a red. Bright and floral, with hard candy tones and a whisp of salt air on the finish, this may be the perfect red wine for seafood. Try with a light chill. Rossese di Dolceacqua was once one of the most important wines of Italy, with plantings that surpassed those in the Langhe in Piemonte. Sadly, phylloxera, world wars, and industrialization led to the abandonment of most vineyard land, and today only a handful of families still cultivate these daunting terraces.
