Tasting Notes: Ruby-red with garnet highlights, the Mirafiore Barolo has a sumptuous bouquet, with clear-cut overtones of ripe plums, tobacco, mint, rosemary, cinnamon and dried mushrooms. Very dense, closely-woven tannins give the taste a well-knit sensation, together with softness and balance.
Estate History: Mirafiore was founded in 1858 by Emanuele Mirafiore, son of Italy's King Vittorio Emanuele II. With its range of unique wines, highly distinctive in origin, character and personality, by the end of the century Mirafiore had become an epoch-making model for Italian winemaking.
