Tasting notes: Il Dissidente is produced entirely of Pignoletto or (Grechetto Gentile) and macerated on the skins for 4 to 6 months in oak tonneaux followed by 6 months in concrete tanks and 1 year in bottle. The results are a full-bodied wine with notes of ginger, peach-skin, hints of mango peel and subtle spice.
Estate History: The Lodi Corazza family has passionately farmed these lands for generations, embracing our role as stewards of the territory. Their commitment to preserving biodiversity is exemplified through their adoption of Integrated Farming practices.
Farming is deeply embedded in the Lodi Corazza family's culture.Their history dates back to 1726 when the Papal State began selling properties in Bologna. Since then, the Lodi family has farmed these lands, deeply rooted in the beautiful countryside of Felsina (the Etruscan name for Bologna). Wine production and sale have been part of their heritage since 1877, a legacy that continues to thrive today.
Today, siblings Cesare and Silvia lead our wine farm, having revitalized both the production facilities and vineyards over the years. By selecting and cultivating autochthonous and international clones, They honor their family’s legacy while leveraging the unique red earth of Zola Predosa within the Bolognese Hills CDO (Colli Bolognesi DOC) wine region.
