Tasting Notes: Montosoli is famous for being the first single cru bottled in Montalcino (by Altesino). This site produces powerful and brooding wines that often need years to reveal themselves. The 2019 is more accessable than past vintages, show the darker side of Sangiovese, with black fruit, earth, woodsmoke and tobacco all coming toghether with fine tannins and superb acidity. Allow a few hours in a decanter or some years in the cellar.
