Tasting Notes: The Le Piane Vino Bianco is 100% Erbaluce. Golden yellow in the glass, this gripping white wine has an orchard fruit palate and is loaded with white flowers and gently baking spices on the nose. There is a lovely crealy texture punctuated by a wonderful sensation of salinity and minerals on the finish. An incredible white wine and brilliant addition to the Le Piane lineup.
Estate History: Boca is a historic wine region in Piedmont that was nearly abandoned until Christoph Künzli recognized its potential and started the Le Piane winery in the late 1990's. Le Piane focuses on producing wines from the Nebbiolo grape variety, blended with small amounts of Vespolina and Bonarda. They are known for their production of high-quality wines, particularly the Boca DOC, which is the flagship wine. These wines are known for their elegance, complexity, and age-worthiness.
