Tasting Notes: The Clivi Brazan is 90% Friulano, 10% Malvasia Istriana from 80 year old vines from the “Brazan” Vineyard in Brazzano di Cormons, Province of Gorizia, along the Slovenian Border with Friuli. This dense and rich white is loaded with notes of peach flowers, pink grapefruit, anice, and petrol. Profound, dense and intense.
Estate History: I Clivi founder Ferdinando Zanusso was raised in the world of wine, his father made wine for his tavern in Treviso, in Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. After travelling and spending time in Paris, Ferdinando purchased a vineyard in Friuli in 1996 and soon after his son Mario, now at the helm of the estate, joined him. Vineyards are all worked by hand, dry farmed and certified organic, with vines from 50 to 80 years old.
