Tasting Notes: Origini is sourced from the oldest vines on the estate going back almost 60 years. This Verdicchio Riserva expresses beautiful notes of camomile, yellow apple, and subtle undertones of saffron. While richer in body this Verdicchio is savory and crisp on the finish giving it the perfect balance.
Estate History: Located in the picturesque hills of Eastern Central Italy, Fattoria Nanni was founded in 2016 by Roberto Cantori. This 14-acre vineyard producing only 25,000 bottles annually. The vineyard boasts a legacy of organic farming that began in the 1960s and includes a unique planting technique: vines are planted facing both north and east, a choice that went against the norms of the time. Roberto has embraced and expanded these organic practices, crafting an elegant Verdicchio that forms the heart of his wines. In addition to Verdicchio, the vineyard also grows a small amount of Ribona, a lesser-known grape that rarely leaves Italy but is now available in small quantities here in the U.S.
