Estate History: Valle Reale is a family-owned winery located in the Abruzzo region of Italy, near the Majella National Park. Owner Leonardo Pizzolo founded the estate with a philosophy rooted in organic farming and respecting the natural environment, aiming to capture the unique, high-altitude character of the Popoli and Capestrano vineyards. The estate is known for its focus on indigenous varietals, particularly Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, employing spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention to produce wines that authentically express their terroir.
