Cooler than previous years, with just the right amount of rain at just the right time made the 2021 one of the best years in memory. Profoundly rich yet lifted and aromatic, this vintage of Sassicaia is perfect for the cellar, or for a nice decant before serving.
Estate History: This landmark wine is the first ‘Super Tuscan’ and was made privately from 1948 to 1967 by the Marchese Mario Incisa della Rocchetta, who had the dream to use the great terroir of Bolgheri to craft a blend that could stand with the great wines of Bordeaux. Sassicaia lives in a class all its own, owing to the perfect location of the vineyards and the mastery in the cellar.
