Tasting Notes: The Paul Bara Brut Rosé Grand Cru Champagne presents a delicate pink hue with persistent, fine bubbles. The nose is a vibrant explosion of fresh red fruits, including wild strawberries, raspberries, and cherries, often accompanied by elegant hints of rose petals, sweet citrus, and a touch of white pepper. On the palate, this champagne is crisp, fresh, and fruit-driven, with lively acidity and a creamy mousse that delivers flavors of red berries, cranberries, and a subtle, integrated note of baked pastry or brioche. A distinct chalky minerality, characteristic of the Bouzy Grand Cru terroir, provides depth and a long, complex finish.

Estate History: The Bara family has been rooted in the village of Bouzy since at least the 1600s, with Auguste François Bara arriving in 1833 and the current property being established in 1860. It was Paul Bara, the father of the current owner Chantale, who first began selling Champagne under the family brand name in the 1950s, a rare move for a récoltant-manipulant (grower-producer) at the time. Today, the house remains a family-owned, seventh-generation business, managed by Chantale Bara, who continues to craft highly-regarded Champagnes exclusively from their 11 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in Bouzy, a village widely recognized as the capital of high-quality Pinot Noir in the Montagne de Reims.
