Tasting Notes: This sparkling rosato captures the vibrant energy of volcanic soil, offering an aromatic bouquet of wild strawberries, blood orange, and crushed rose petals. On the palate, it delivers a fine, lively mousse that carries flavors of pomegranate and a distinctive flinty minerality. The finish is remarkably crisp and refreshing, defined by a bright structural tension and a savory, salt-flecked edge that balances the ripe red fruit character.
Estate History: Giuseppe Lazzaro established his eponymous label in 2020 after refining his craft for two decades as the cellar master for the legendary Frank Cornelissen. Drawing on this deep expertise, Lazzaro manages roughly 4.5 hectares of ancient vines spread across various slopes of Mount Etna. Based in the district of Milo, the estate operates with a strict low-intervention philosophy, prioritizing biodiversity and organic practices to produce pure expressions of the volcano’s unique terroir.
