Estate History: The Ferrari winery was founded in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari, who first recognized that the region of Trentino, with its high-altitude vineyards, was uniquely suited to growing Chardonnay grapes for world-class sparkling wine production. Having no children of his own, he entrusted the estate to Bruno Lunelli in 1952. The Lunelli family has since continued Giulio’s legacy, expanding the estate while maintaining a commitment to quality and the metodo classico tradition. Today, Ferrari is the leading producer of Trentodoc wines and an icon of Italian luxury sparkling wine, with the third generation of the Lunelli family now running the company.
