Tasting Notes: 100% Chardonnay with ten days of maceration on the skins and all stainless steel. Supple and waxy, with notes of bruised apple, and peach pit.
Estate History: Alessandro’s “Drink Wines Not Labels” project is back for its second release, and it’s as unapologetic and honest as ever. Working just east of Serralunga, Alessandro farms entirely by hand and with natural methods. The idea began in 2019 with fruit from his uncle’s vineyards in Montelupo Albese, grapes considered “un-prestigious” because they fell outside the Barolo zone. That “rejection” inspired Outside, a wine (and philosophy) that champions what's inside the bottle, not the label it wears.
