Tasting Notes: Driven by a youthful and energetic profile, this entry-level red wine bursts with bright aromas of fresh cherry, raspberry, and wild plum, complemented by soft red florals and a surprising touch of cacao. Crafted from a traditional blend of younger Sangiovese, Canaiolo, and Colorino vines, the palate is exceptionally juicy and lively, marked by a crisp freshness and smooth, fine-grained tannins that make it instantly approachable. A vibrant ruby hue with violet reflections underscores its crunchy fruit character, leading into a refreshing finish accented by subtle notes of spice, cola, and leather.
Estate History: Situated on the northern edge of the Chianti Classico region in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, the noble 32-hectare estate features historic cellars dating back to the 14th century. Though the farm has been in the family of Maddalena Fucile for generations and historically sold its grapes in bulk, its modern winemaking chapter began in 2016 when she and her university classmate Matteo Vaccari took over the property. Armed with enology degrees from the University of Florence and hands-on experience at premier wineries in Tuscany, California, and Oregon, the ambitious duo revitalized the vineyards using organic and biodynamic farming principles. Today, they practice minimalist cellar work and hand-harvest their plots to produce highly precise, terroir-driven expressions that have quickly established the property as one of the most exciting newcomers in the region.
