Tasting Notes: This vibrant Rosé Champagne, predominantly Chardonnay with a touch of still Pinot Noir, displays a beautiful salmon-pink hue and fine, persistent bubbles. The nose is immediately inviting, redolent with delicate aromas of fresh wild strawberry and raspberry. On the palate, the champagne is elegant and lively, offering a burst of fresh red fruit flavors complemented by a creamy texture and a crisp, mineral-driven finish. Its harmonious balance of fruity notes and refreshing acidity makes it both an excellent aperitif and a versatile companion for a variety of dishes.
Estate History: The Bergère family has been cultivating vines in the Vallée du Petit Morin since 1848. The A. Bergère brand was officially founded in 1949 by Albert Bergère, who began producing and marketing his own Champagne from the family vineyards. His son, André, took over the estate in 1986 and expanded the vineyard holdings with his wife Brigitte. The adventure continues today with their children, Annaëlle and Adrien, the latter of whom joined as a trained oenologist in 2014 and introduced modern techniques like individual plot vinification and the use of oak barrels to further enhance the terroir's expression. The estate remains a family-run grower operation rooted in tradition but embracing innovation.
