Tasting Notes: The Cascina Baricchi Barbaresco Riserva Rosé delle Casasse is a rare single-vineyard expression from one of Barbaresco’s most storied communes. Deep garnet with a rosy glow at the rim, it opens with wild cherry, dried rose, iron-tinged minerality and a whisper of tobacco. The palate is structured yet silky, with fine-grained tannins and layers of forest floor, orange peel and cinnamon that carry through a long, savory finish.
Estate History: Cascina Baricchi is a small organic estate in Neive, farmed by the Grasso family in the hills above the Casasse cru. The family has worked these steep Barbaresco vineyards for generations, applying rigorous low-yield viticulture and extended traditional aging to craft wines that speak directly of place. Rosé delle Casasse takes its name from the vineyard itself, a parcel prized for giving some of the appellation’s most graceful and age-worthy Nebbiolo.
