Tasting Notes: This vibrant white wine captures the essence of the Collio terroir through an aromatic profile led by green pepper, tomato leaf, and white peach. The palate is elegant and well-structured, balancing crisp citrus flavors of lime and tangerine against a sophisticated mineral backbone of flint and sage. Each sip concludes with a persistent finish that highlights its refined texture and clean, juicy fruit character.
Estate History: Borgo Conventi was established in 1975 in Farra d’Isonzo, taking its name from an ancient legend of a monastery built on land donated by a local landowner. Since 2001, the estate has been under the stewardship of the Moretti Polegato family, who have modernized the facilities while maintaining a deep respect for the unique microclimate of the Gorizia hills. The property spans approximately 30 hectares across the Collio and Isonzo DOC zones, focusing on producing estate-bottled wines that emphasize varietal purity and regional tradition.
