Tasting Notes: The Etnella Attia Bianco is an old vine field blend that straddles the line between white and orange wine. It sees a light amount of skin contact during fermentation, deepening its color and releasing its delightful aromatics. This wine is savory and salty, with a delightful herbal finish. Enjoy with crudo or vegetarian appetizers.
Estate History: Founded in 2008 by visionary Davide Bentivegna, Etnella produces wines that are deeply terroir driven. He works just 9 hectares of vines, scattered across Etna’s eastern slopes. All his wines are spontaneously fermented—using the local yeast present on the grape skins to kickstart fermentation, rather than mass-produced winemaker’s yeast.
