Tasting Notes: The wine shows a deep golden color in the glass, a result of traditional contact with the grape skins. On the nose, it delivers a complex bouquet of wild Mediterranean herbs, crisp yellow apples, almond blossoms, and a distinct impression of crushed marine shells. The palate is dry, savory, and richly textured, balancing its robust body with a refreshing, vibrant crispness that transitions into a long finish marked by a signature, slightly bitter almond aftertaste.
Estate History: Located on a hillside facing the medieval towers of San Gimignano, Montenidoli has been under the stewardship of Elisabetta Fagiuoli and Sergio Muratori since 1965. When they arrived, the historic land was abandoned and overgrown, prompting a dedicated restoration of the ancient vineyards using entirely organic and holistic farming practices. The estate operates with a deep respect for the region's unique Triassic soils, utilizing minimal intervention in the cellar to craft wines that reflect the authentic heritage and maritime terroir of Tuscany.
